Frequently
Asked Questions
What are the car tag sizes in mm?
Our car tags are available in three sizes:
- Small = 103 × 55 mm (W × H)
- Medium = 155 × 80 mm (W × H)
- Large = 205 × 90 mm (W × H)
Please note: the height is reduced by 50% due to the centre fold. The measurements above refer to the visible/exposed section of the tag per side.
Will it damage my paint?
Our adhesive options are non-destructive when used on metal or smooth plastic panels. Always avoid applying to rubber or textured panels.
Is the tag weatherproof?
Yes. The PVC material and adhesive/Velcro are built to withstand sun, rain, and regular driving conditions.
Do I need tools to install it?
No tools needed, just clean the surface and stick.
Can I install it on any car?
Absolutely, as long as you choose a clean, flat surface with enough depth to allow the tag to sit correctly.
Can I reuse or reposition the tag?
Yes, the Velcro option allows you to remove and reapply the tag, or swap between designs or vehicles, as long as the surface is suitable.
MY TAG LOOKS ODD?
Troubleshooting Your Tag
My tag looks floppy:
This usually means the fold was creased too tightly or the placement area is too shallow. Gently reshape the fold to be more rounded, or move the adhesive to a deeper, flatter surface.
The adhesive isn’t sticking well:
Ensure the area is clean, dry, and dust-free. Adhesive bonds best to metal and smooth, glossy plastics. It will not hold on rubber, textured, or matte/ very rough surfaces.
The tag sits too close to the car:
Move it to a section with at least 2 cm of depth in the seam to allow proper protrusion.
The tag shifted when I closed the door/boot:
Reapply to a surface that is not part of a moving or flexible panel. Avoid seals and rubber trim that could force the tag into an unnatural position.
